K&K TEAM GETS WASHED OUT IN SEASON OPENER

The Stratford, ON based K&K/Fram Racing Team began their 2004 season on a wet note in Hamilton, Ohio. This was the first of 5 IHRA Divisional Event on the teams schedule. After rain delayed Saturday Qualifying, they managed two good runs with a best of 4.95 @ 144mph (1/8 mile track). With two solid runs on the car they felt ready to defend their event win of 2003. Last year at the same event the team won the Top Sportsman title and gained valuable points early in the season. Unfortunatley they never got the chance thanks to mother nature. With the pits still wet from earlier rain the skies opened up again Sturday night and into Sunday morning. due to the tremendous amount of rain that fell in such a short time IHRA was forced to cancel racing completely on Sunday. The event has tentatively been rescheduled for Sept. 17th. The next action the K&K / FRAM team will see is a Divisional race in Pittsburgh, PA May 14-16.

The K&K team is also leased to announce they have renewed their marketing partnership with FRAM for the 10th consecutive season. This is a tremendous accomplishment in any sport especially motorsports. "Our racing program would not be at the level it is without their support. We have been very fortunate to have such a great company and great people support us for so long. This partnership shows their commitement not only to our program but the Drag Racing in General." says team Marketing Director & Crew Chief, Kevin Zimmer. The team would like to also like to welcome Fastpixs Digital Media, Parts Pro,Erie-Drive In, RPM/NMCA Magazine, Perth Auto Dismantlers and Tettman Consulting back to the team for 2004.
